THE IMPORTANCE OF BRIDAL TRIALS

Please take note that bridal trials are highly recommended.
Many brides find that they change their minds once they have had a trial run. What you may have seen and liked on a Pinterest or Instagram image, may not suit you or your wedding dress. You might also change your mind after the trial and choose a different look entirely. THIS IS OKAY!

Please feel free to discuss all your wishes with me BEFORE & AFTER the trial. Wear Your Look for at Least Four Hours.

Throughout the day, observe how your makeup holds up. If your face becomes slightly shiny or if you notice any texture appearing in an area(which is completely normal), it's crucial to share this feedback with me for the wedding day. This way, we can identify necessary adjustments and select products to prevent these issues.

Time is limited on the wedding day, so it is best to have a clear idea of what to expect to avoid any disappointment or last-minute changes.

REALISTIC EXPECTATIONS

Always be realistic when choosing reference pics of what you have in mind for your hair and makeup.

Take into account your facial features, skin tone, hair colour, length and thickness. Makeup will look different on a pale skin vs tanned and hooded eyes vs almond eyes etc.

Hair will always be shorter when curled. If you choose a big volume hairstyle, but have thin hair you definitely will need extensions. Be mindful of having realistic expectations.

ATTEND SOLO

Although inviting bridesmaids or your mother to your trial appointment may seem appealing, it can create unnecessary pressure for the bride-to-be. Keep in mind that everyone has unique styles and preferences regarding makeup. Seeking someone else's opinion might cloud your own feelings. This ties back to the importance of open communication and adjustments: if you're uncertain about anything, it's best to consult the professional you've hired and trust. If you must bring someone along, please ensure they don't disrupt your experience with unsolicited suggestions.

HOW TO PREPARE FOR YOUR MAKEUP SERVICE?

Establish a Consistent Skincare Routine: The effectiveness of your makeup trial is significantly influenced by how well you care for your skin. Regular visits to a beautician, along with a solid skincare regimen and consistent facials, will enhance your makeup application and leave your skin radiant! Discover more about creating an effective skincare routine.

Please ensure your skin is clean and free of makeup. Use your daily moisturizer. Any unwanted hair must please be removed in advance, ie: brows, lip etc. This give a more polished finish as powders grip to hair and show up more.

HOW TO PREPARE FOR YOUR HAIR SERVICE?

If you're considering wearing your hair up for your wedding, it's essential to take into acount your wedding dress neckline. For instance, a low bun paired with a high neckline could lead to your hair becoming tangled in the dress throughout the day. A lace dress will also snag on loose curls forming frizz during the course of the day.

Bring a photo of your wedding dress to share during the appointment. This way, we can collaborate to find the best hairstyle for your look.

If you prefer to wear your hair down on your special day, ensure it is at your desired length, although this is not strictly necessary. For most updos, hair that falls just below the underarm works well. Longer hair is perfectly acceptable, but keep in mind that the more length you have, the larger the hairstyle tends to be.

Please wash your hair thoroughly the day before and blow-dry it smooth or straighten it. This will help ensure that your curls are frizz-free and long-lasting. Avoid using heavy cream products, gel, or dry shampoo after washing your hair.

If you will be wearing extensions please ensure they are available at the time of the trial. Kindly note: ONLY HUMAN HAIR EXTENSIONS WILL BE WORKED ON.

It is advisable to get your hair into a good condition, with regular professional treatments. This ensures for that smooth, frizz free finish. The more damaged the hair is the more it will show when styled.
